A bunch of Bagley neighbors gathered at Bucharest for our monthly local business meetup and we really enjoyed our meal here. I tried the new menu item: chicken tenders. There were many seating options, the food came out quick, and the prices were reasonable. So thankful we have one of these Detroit staples in our neighborhood!

A lot of recent reviews were saying it's been pretty hit or miss, and obviously everyone's experiences are gonna be different, but for my first time there I think it was pretty good!
Me and some of my buddies visited prior to a concert at Fox Theatre for some shawarmas (1 Bucharest box, 1 lamb box, 1 chicken box). It wasn't terribly packed and we got our food within 10 minutes for everything.
Food was pretty good quality (the lamb tasted great to me) but I'd argue the fries we got in our batch were a bit stale 😅 that being said, the portioning was extremely big so I didn't even finish everything before I felt stuffed
Overall, I think this'd be a spot I'd visit more often if I ever stop by Detroit again

Second time here, food is amazing. The spices and the freshness are unparalleled. I love being able to see people cook my meal. Sometimes takes a minute when you order a veggie and also...don't let that veggie Sammy sit too long or the bread gets mush.
But it is all forgivable for the flavors and freshness.

Love the food hate the service. Cashiers have an attitude EVERY time I pick up an order. If employees cant serve with a smile or at bare minimum have a good attitude they should work somewhere else.

This location is terrible me and my family came in for dinner 6:02 pm Monday simple order lamb stick 2 chicken shawarma sticks 2 straight cut fries. 45 minutes later no food 5 people behind counter I begin to inquire about food young lady says our food is coming up now, 10 minutes later I ask for refund young lady says “we’re waiting on your fries”,” I want refund please 🙏🏾 “, 10 minutes later manager comes from alley ( I can planely see him coming through back door with 5-6 other people! Amazing 8-10 people behind counter and it takes more then an 1 hour to get service… I insisted on refund after witnessing all this came downtown Columbia location food ready in 20 minutes in spite of a good number of people already there good job “Columbia location “ everyone on Livernois should be retrained!!! Terrible 😣
