A bunch of Bagley neighbors gathered at Bucharest for our monthly local business meetup and we really enjoyed our meal here. I tried the new menu item: chicken tenders. There were many seating options, the food came out quick, and the prices were reasonable. So thankful we have one of these Detroit staples in our neighborhood!

A lot of recent reviews were saying it's been pretty hit or miss, and obviously everyone's experiences are gonna be different, but for my first time there I think it was pretty good!
Me and some of my buddies visited prior to a concert at Fox Theatre for some shawarmas (1 Bucharest box, 1 lamb box, 1 chicken box). It wasn't terribly packed and we got our food within 10 minutes for everything.
Food was pretty good quality (the lamb tasted great to me) but I'd argue the fries we got in our batch were a bit stale 😅 that being said, the portioning was extremely big so I didn't even finish everything before I felt stuffed
Overall, I think this'd be a spot I'd visit more often if I ever stop by Detroit again

Second time here, food is amazing. The spices and the freshness are unparalleled. I love being able to see people cook my meal. Sometimes takes a minute when you order a veggie and also...don't let that veggie Sammy sit too long or the bread gets mush.
But it is all forgivable for the flavors and freshness.

Love the food hate the service. Cashiers have an attitude EVERY time I pick up an order. If employees cant serve with a smile or at bare minimum have a good attitude they should work somewhere else.

I usually don’t have too many issues with this location hence why I didn’t give it a terrible score. The food is decent, depending on what day you go there. However the customer service is lackluster. Some of the cashiers are nice while others need more training. I recently called to order my meal twice and the cashier wanted to act childish and pretend she didn’t hear me. I tried another phone and still the same childish behavior and they hung up on me. This makes me not want to support them especially if this behavior persists.
