No joke the best meal I’ve had in a loooong time. We had the crab cake benedict and braised pork belly ciabatta. Both were served with roasted potatoes and omg they were so good. My bf had the spicy Bloody mary and I’m not usually a fan but that’s the first time I could probably drink one and enjoy it. I had the Corktown spritz and it was the best aperol spritz I’ve had in a while!! The vibes were amazing as well, music wasn’t too loud or too quiet. Our server (I think it was Ariana) was so nice and we received excellent service from everyone we interacted with, they even gave us some cinnamon rolls to go which was a wonderful touch. Would 100000% recommend this place!!!

Cork & Gabel is easily one of my favorite wedding venues in Detroit. The venue has such a unique blend of historic character and modern design, and every space is beautiful to photograph. One of my favorite parts of the day was stepping outside for portraits with Michigan Central Station in the background—it creates such an iconic Detroit backdrop while keeping couples close to the celebration.
What really made the experience stand out was Skylar, the event coordinator. She was incredibly organized, communicative, and on top of every detail throughout the day. As a wedding photographer, working alongside someone like Skylar makes such a difference. She kept everything running smoothly, was proactive, and created a wonderful experience for both the couple and every vendor involved.
I also have to mention the food—it was honestly some of the best wedding food I've had, and it was actually served hot (which every vendor appreciates!). The team also has a thoughtful rain backup plan, giving couples peace of mind no matter what the weather brings.
If you're looking for a wedding venue that's full of character, has an incredible team, amazing food, and endless opportunities for beautiful photos, I can't recommend Cork & Gabel enough. I would be absolutely thrilled to photograph another wedding here!

Good food and good prices. Had the steak bites, cheese fries, The Mayflower dessert (wasn't a fan) and a Mocktail. The ambiance of the place was definitely the best part. Very cool aesthetic. Staff were all very friendly and I was appreciative that even though they didn't have a cocktail menu they made me a delicious one so I could feel included in our group.

Absolutely LOVE Cork & Gabel! We were in Detroit for opening day, but came down to stay the night the previous night. Decided to return to C & G for dinner as we had been a prior visit and went for brunch and loved it! Dinner did not disappoint! And the service was too notch!!!! We had the fried Dubliner for an app which was crispy, melty, yummy and a perfect app with the 6 Spoke Kolsch! My husband and I both ordered Fish and Chips for dinner. Absolutely perfect! The breading was light and crispy and the fish was so tender and perfectly cooked and let me tell you, the house made pickle and caper romulade was a perfect compliment! Even the fries were awesome! As a matter of fact, we enjoyed it so much, we went back again for post game snacks on Opening day! This time we did a couple drinks and a couple apps. We ordered the Cajun steak tips and Calamari! Both were fantastic! It’s so hard to pick a favorite between the two but….those steak tips definitely made me do a little happy dance with every bite! They were seasoned beautifully, nice and tender but had nice char at the same time, and perfectly cooked and the blue cheese and fresh arugula and micro greens….OMG delish! The calamari was so tender and not at all chewy, the breading light, crispy, and just the right amount! And again, top notch service! The restaurant is beautiful and has some unique features and is so welcoming! 100% has become a favorite for me and I look forward to my next visit!!!!! Thank you Cork & Gabel for making our overnight opening day getaway fantastic!
