My girlfriend and I stayed here for a concert that was at LCA and it was amazing! We had the weekend of lifetime! The staff was incredibly nice and awesome. We loved the casino and hotel. The shower was the best rain shower I've ever used. The view from our high rise room was so great. Also we had a very nice dinner at the Prism Steakhouse. The seafood boil is a must experience meal. We were impressed with the hospitality and great vibes from all the staff from the moment we arrived. Also the people mover is connected to this place you can experience so much of Detroit while you stay. Thank you!! We will absolutely be back!

From the moment I arrived, the experience was completely horrendous. Customer service was terrible—when calling the front desk, staff answered the phone as if they didn’t want to be bothered. Even worse, the front desk staff were dressed inappropriately; one employee was wearing a crop top, stomach exposed, which is highly unprofessional for a hotel setting.
When I entered my room, I immediately noticed multiple issues:
• The tissue box was empty.
• The bed sheets and linens were extremely wrinkled.
• The fitted sheet had a large hole, exposing the cotton on the mattress.
I called to request a linen change, and the housekeeping staff who arrived was rude and aggressive, openly complaining about how it was time for her to go home. She even admitted that management is aware most of the sheets have holes and that the washing machines are damaging the linens further.
To top it off, when I requested a late checkout to try and salvage the stay, I was told I’d have to pay $60 just for one extra hour—with no regard for the multiple problems I experienced.
This was by far one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and hospitality is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one connected to a casino.
I will not return, and I do not recommend this property to anyone looking for quality accommodations in Detroit

I have stayed at Hollywood Casino at Greektown 2-3 times a year for years, and this is normally the only hotel I choose when visiting Detroit. Unfortunately, this recent stay (checked in Friday, checked out today) was unlike any experience I’ve had before.
I arrived at 7 PM and was told there were no clean rooms available. I put my name on a waiting list and didn’t receive a call that my room was ready until 10:47 PM. I was initially offered a $50 beverage credit for the inconvenience, which I felt was not enough, and was then offered $100 off the night—something I accepted, assuming the room would at least be cleaned.
When we got to the room, it was clear it had not been cleaned: hair from a beard in the bathroom, sticky floors, and trash still in the garbage. I requested housekeeping, but no one ever came—not that night, and not the next day.
At noon the next day, I went to the front desk and spoke with a manager who assured me the room would be cleaned while I was out. When I returned at 6 PM, nothing had been done. I asked again and was offered either a downgrade to a smaller room or to wait for cleaning. Even after that, the room was never cleaned.
Some of the staff were helpful—particularly the young woman with the ponytail at the front desk, who was wonderful. But overall, management failed to handle this situation appropriately, and the hotel itself felt dirty and poorly managed during this stay.
This experience was disappointing and frustrating, especially from a hotel I’ve trusted for years. I truly hope management takes steps to improve their operations and communication, because this stay did not live up to the standards I’ve come to expect.

I absolutely love the Hollywood Casino Hotel! We have stayed a few times and every time the rooms are remarkable! I don’t want no other room, but the Luxury King Suite! Amazing views, relaxing atmosphere, and it definitely is a vibe with your significant other. Book this room and ask for a corner room and a high floor. I promise you won’t be disappointed! It comes with 2 bathrooms..one is a half bath, amazing views of the city, the Detroit River, and a front sitting area for guests ,or for you to have a change of scenery with your spouse. I love this room and the huge bathroom with the walk in shower, separate toilet room, and a tub that sits right at the window for you to relax and view the city. Book this and you won’t be disappointed. I promise.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times with no issues. This past stay was less than desirable. The room was dirty, floor was sticky. There was a flat sheet on the bed being used as a fitted sheet. The flat sheet came loose and there were stains of bodily fluids on the bed underneath the sheet right where my head was laying. It was disgusting! There was hair in the bathroom on the floor and we killed 4 stink bugs in our room.
