This is one of the swankiest hotels I've visited in a while. It sort of gave a resort vibe while being located in the heart of downtown. There are definitely places to walk in the area- with surrounding shops and restaurants; although, I didnt walk much because it was freezing and snowing when I was in town. The rooms were beautifully decorated; robes and slippers were provided, which is an added bonus. The gym is nice- bottled water is provided and it has a stairmaster! Check-in was a breeze; they offer you champagne or water. I felt welcomed so I enjoyed the service. Room service was also great. The hotel seems to get extremely busy at times, probably because it is listed as a fine hotel and resort for amex (which is how I booked) and it seems to be part of the chase program as well. I would definitely return when visiting Detroit.
I absolutely love this hotel. Daniel was an amazing welcome front desk manager. The room was amazing with literally floor to ceiling windows looking into the city. It was magical. The detail was amazing. Little chocolates, the light switch by the bed turned on the hallway to get to the bathroom at night, the closet had the little slippers that fit (not the cheap ones), the bathroom was to die for and because we booked with Amex Platinum we had special treats. Amazing. I've stayed at wonderful hotels around the world. This is truly the jewel of downtown Detroit! Highly recommended.
My wife and I had an exceptional stay at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived, and Danny, the manager, ensured we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The staff was consistently attentive, thoughtful, and anticipatory of our needs. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, striking the perfect balance between comfort and style. Breakfast downstairs was excellent and set a great tone for the day. Detroit truly impressed us, and thanks to the outstanding experience at the Shinola, we will absolutely be returning. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable.
One of the most stunning hotels. It’s class, elegance, and charming. Will Green from their vip team is the man. We had a little bit of hiccups with some things…. But Mr. Will handled the hiccup before it even became a situation. He was on his day off and handled it amazingly with such professionalism that it’s rare to see know a days. This hotel and Will Green is outstanding.
Hussein provided outstanding valet service during my stay at the Shinola Hotel. He greeted me immediately, handled my car with care, and had everything running smoothly from the moment I pulled up. His professionalism and attention to detail set the tone for a great visit. The hotel itself was exceptional – beautifully designed, clean, and welcoming. The front desk staff were equally impressive and efficient with check-in. From start to finish, everything about my stay reflected true quality and attention to detail. Highly recommend.
