I havent been to Sinbads since around 2012 and I must say everything was excellent! Thalia was my server, she was polite and attentive. The food was amazing and more reasonable priced than these new restaurants. Im sticking with the tried and true places from here on out. Great dinner.

My husband and I had a day date here for the first time and we loved it! The clam chowder was amazing and the atmosphere is iconic! The valet was a great touch on a cold, windy day!! We will definitely be back!

I ordered (carry out) the grilled chicken breast, broccoli and loaded baked potato. The broccoli and potato tasted “ok” other than they put artificial slice cheese on my potato which was like melted wax when I got home. The chicken was so so so salty it wasn’t edible at all !

We had a nice dinner with geat service in the dining room. I had the seafood platter, and my wife had the cod. There was not a lot of food for the seafood platte, but what it did have was good. I especially liked the frog legs and scallops. The salad and clam chowder soup prior to the meal we both excellent. Not your boring side salad.

This spot is a true Detroit classic, known for its prime location and stunning views of the Detroit River. Valet parking is a great option, but there’s also $3 self-parking if you prefer. I’ve been here a few times for dates and family events, and the vibe is always on point—chic with a touch of old-school charm.
The seafood platter was fresh, lightly breaded, and well-seasoned, but the rest of the menu could use some work. The sides, in particular, were a letdown—my green beans were barely cooked, and the baked potato was just okay. I’d love to see a wider variety of platters and more thoughtfully prepared sides. For the price, I also wish the portions were more generous.
On a brighter note, the drinks were a highlight! I had a Lemon Drop and a Bourbon Sour, and both were delicious and fairly priced. As for the service, the staff seemed a bit stressed, but to be fair, it was a busy night. Overall, while there’s room for improvement, it’s still a classic spot worth visiting.
