Food is decent but it costs more than it should. They provide you with delicious warm bread after you are seated. It’s is not endless, they do not tell you this. But I think you can order more for a cost. My waitress, Kena, was kind and quick. Engaging and fun to talk to while being attentive to our needs. The fish and burger were good. The baked potato was pretty basic and could be prepared a little better, especially if paying for “fully loaded.” They make some of their dressings in house which are good. I would maybe opt for a different side than fries. They taste like basic frozen fries with no character. I’d opt for the side salad! There is a nice view of the marina and so you can see the boats and some of the fishermen coming in and out. Everyone has to do valet, I don’t love that. It’s not ideal if you do not have cash. It just feels unfair to have that added cost automatically.

Sinbad’s is one of those places that feels like Detroit in its purest form — waterfront views, classic atmosphere, and food that keeps you coming back. The clam chowder was absolutely incredible: rich, creamy, packed with flavor, and the kind of bowl that makes you slow down just to enjoy every spoonful. It tasted homemade and comforting without being too heavy. There’s something special about sitting by the water here that gives it a character you can’t manufacture. This is real Detroit by the sea — unpretentious, authentic, and full of local personality. Sinbad’s delivers the kind of experience that reminds you why longtime Detroit spots become institutions. Great food, great setting, and a place that feels like the city itself. Five stars.

Here for a guided fishing trip in MI/CAN for walleye. So Iam an admitted fish snob/connoisseur. I can fry up slightly better fish on my own, but they do all the work and just serve you a delicious tasting Lake Perch Fillet deboned and soaking in butter. Taste like Fish Candy to me. We were here at 11am when they opened 4th year in a row and our service was excellent however there was only 4 other groups at this time.

Get yourself a guided walleye fishing trip, have the guide clean your fish, take them up to Sinbad's and they cook them for you 3 different ways, each one delicious in its own way. There isn't a better lunch anywhere to be found. Love this place!

We gathered here for an evening of fun and chatting. It had been a while since we had all been together. The food was good, the wait staff was excellent and attentive. I had the catfish which was delicious, and I gobbled up their generous bowl of coleslaw. The views are really nice. The place was hopping. Storm clouds were blowing in over the water, and it made the evening dramatic. Just a great time overall.
